Indica
Depending on who you talk to there are essentially three varieties of marijuana Cannabis Sativa, Indica and Ruderalis.
My first experience with Indica came with a business trip to Vancouver Canada. While there I stayed in a green friendly B&B called Casa Verde. Little did I know it was ran by Marc Emery’s mother. All of the guests were there form the US to buy seeds. In the morning Marc’s father came to breakfast with the seed selections. He asked if I was growing indoors and recommended I try some Indicas. I bought a Blueberry X Northern Lights cross and grew it for over ten years.
Where Sativas are more equatorial, Indica strains are native to more northern latitudes like Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, and Turkey. These strains have become tolerant to harsh dry conditions. This probably why they are typically east o grow for beginners. The Indica plants are short and stocky with more buds than Sativa. They grow and flower faster. Many flowering in under 8 weeks. Indicas are phototropic and start flowering when the daylight to night ration nears 12/12.
Indicas are none to provide an elevated head high adding providing deep relaxation. Great for sleep.
